Betty Jackson |
Ms. Bettye
Jackson is retired from the US Secret Service and was responsible
for working independently as policy/training advisor, developing,
administering, and conducting training needs assessments in over
150 countries throughout the world. Ms Jackson was responsible for
identifying, proposing and implementing solutions for significant
programs that involved key training programs of the U.S. Secret
Service. She served on panels and committees with key personnel to
recognize areas requiring change, to serve as benchmarks to
maximize resources and reduce inefficiencies. Ms. Jackson
developed strategies and proposals in support of law enforcement
training and regularly assessed in formulating the policies,
procedures, methods, and systems used by the Service and their
impact on international training. Her responsibility included but
was not limited to reviewing training procurement requests for
compliance and financial accountability and monitored action to
completion. She researched and performed analysis on specific
issues, questions and/or programs for information, action or
decision of the Service; and formulated alternative approaches or
course of action.
• Formulated a responsive, resource-loaded international training
budget tailored to maximize contributory support.
• Developed conclusions, options, and recommendations that took
into account and gave appropriate weight to uncertainties about
the data and other variables that affected long-range program
performance.
• Commended on interactions with foreign officials and other
outside activities that benefited the Service and strengthened
mutual ties.
• Cited for outstanding performance on unannounced inspections.
